These images were all taken using the Fremont Peak Observatory Assocation Challenger Telescope or images of and around the observatory and the peak area.

The Challenger Telescope is a 30" f/4.8 3658mmFL of Newtonian design on an English cross-axis equatorial mount. It has three secondary ports and a secondary mirror that can be rotated to either of the ports. The tracking tends to drift toward the SW a little and there is no autoguiding interface. The front/backfocus is tough to get an off-axis guider onto when using my Canon 20D so I settle for taking dozens of frames, each under 120sec.
